General
This tribe is made of many different species. There is no formal leader, rather a Shaman, a creature that uses powerful magics to heal and curse, and who has a great knowledge of the desert. Members of this tribe can come and go as they please.
If they should find a lost soul in the desert, they will always help them, regardless of any personal feelings they may harbour.
All members have magical abilites, however slight they may be.
Sleeping
They sleep around an Oasis hidden deep within the desert. Only members of the tribe know of its location. The tribe may sleep wherever in the desert they wish, but to sleep anywhere but the Oasis is asking to be devoured by the monstrous sand worms that roam it at night.
Birth and Death
It is rare for new cubs to be born in this tribe. New members are formed normally by individuals who wish to live as part of the tribe. The Shaman takes this members into the desert's heart for a secret ceremony. When the members return, they will have taken on the tell-tale colouration of the Tribe.
When a member of the Tribe dies, it becomes a horrible curse to speak their name. If the deceased member body is found, they will be taken to a tomb within the desert by the shaman, and any chosen friends and kin they named in life. Here, they will be laid to rest, and given a new name in death, the old name becoming a curse.
The Ometan people view death to be sacred, and celebrate it without remorse.
Diet and Food
Food in the desert is hard to come by. The people of the Ometan share all prey, and it is not unusual for them to starve for days, even weeks at a time. They are not beyond poaching food from other lands in times of desperate need, however.
It is said that their hunger only amplifies their innate power.
Exploration
The Ometan people are reclusive - if they do not wish to be found, they shall not. They may often roam the breadth of Albasia, but almost always return to the Desert. The infamous reputation of the desert leads many to believe that its inhabitants are formed entirely by rogues.
