This is a big thing, but it could be annoying to some members, but because each post nets you more gold and more HP, a simple solution to getting more of both is creating new characters and staying active with them. My question would be how would we make said HP and gold fair? Would the new character automatically have access to the HP of the earlier? Would the newbie character inherit the entirety of the member's gold from the get go?
I know divvying up the spoils of posting between multiple chars would be chaos, not to mention the code would be crazy, but how would we make it fair? I know I do not like the idea of forcing multiple accounts for each character, and asking each individual member to be honest and count each and every post by each character and THEN do the math is just too tedious and annoying...
It may not even be a big deal, but it is something I thought I should bring to light now before we get busier

Hmmm..... that's a good question actually, something I hadn't considered. I was thinking that it would be the actual member who has the gold and not the character, but the HP thing would be a different matter.

Just have people make multiple accounts; it's not that much of a hassle. Gold can be cumulative for a person but HP should be limited to each account/character.

While that does seem the most logical solution, I've never liked it personally, and if I had been planning on creating another character that would be snuffed with there. Then there's the "Only one leader per person" which would be more difficult to keep track of, but then if someone wanted to they could create a new account with a new e-mail address and nobody'd be the wiser...the only indication would be the chatango name, but even then they could log out and create a new name for themselves. Granted, that's a tad bit extreme, but still...

If somebody created a new account with a new email, they'd still have the same IP address. There's ways to get around /that/, but there's always going to be some workarounds; I guess sometimes you just have to hope that people'll be honest and not stoop low enough to sneak around rules on a wolf proboards site. As for the mutliple-account thing, if you don't like taking all of ten minutes to make a second account then...I'm sorry? It's not that big of a deal, certainly not something I think the admins should create extremely-complicated new code for.

It's not so much the time it takes to create a new account, it's the upkeeping of a new account and keeping track of everything, which, for some people is a cinch, but it's just annoying and now apparently pointless as we're getting rid of the battle and HP system and keeping the gold which was never an issue to begin with

I ended up taking off the battle system, it was faar too complicated... it was a good idea, but there were too many problems with it. We'll just keep the RP'ing in these forums the normal way, it's alot easier That way, we don't have to check on every single person too to make sure they aren't cheating or whatever. And yah, we're keeping the gold, but that's mainly to give people more of an incentive to post because then they'll get "rewarded" and stuff.

Ah, I was wondering why the RPG stats just sort of...vanished. Since HP and so on is no longer an issue is it now considered fair?

Well, it'll just be considered a normal RP now We'll have to keep an eye out and make sure people don't make themselves overpowered on everything if you get what I mean
